About Stitches of Love
Stitches of Love, a shawl-making ministry, is over a year old!!
Our purpose is to serve our community by making shawls for
people going through an illness, a death in the family, a divorce, etc. We also give them away for happy occasions too!
As we make a shawl, we say prayers and offer blessings for the
recipient of the shawl. The idea of a shawl-making ministry comes
from a new book in our United Methodist Women’s reading program titled Knitting into the Mystery. According to the authors, recipients of
shawls are very appreciative and cherish their shawls. They are a great
comfort to the recipient. If you knit or crochet or want to learn to do either and are
interested in this type of ministry, please join us. We are meeting
every Tuesday evening at 7. This ministry is open to all ages! Anyone is welcome to participate!! Please join us!
